FRONT MAP LIGHT INSPECTION

Note

•  The integrity of the front map light cannot be determined from a single part. When inspecting the front map light, perform the following procedure.

1.  Operate the front map light switch and verify that the front map light turns on.

If front map light turns on:

•  The front map light is normal therefore the inspection is completed.

If front map light does not turn on:

•  Go to the next step.

2.  Perform the DTC inspection for the BCM. (See DTC INSPECTION.)

If DTCs are detected:

•  Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) (E)].)

If DTCs are not detected:

•  Replace the front map light because there is a malfunction in the front map light. (See REAR MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
